Big Red and I are bonded at the hip—well, in that general territory. Together, we’ll add 3,600+ miles to the thousands we’ve already done together.
Here’s a chance to meet her in a short 2-minute video:
Why is this chart showing zero miles for 6 consecutive days!?
Our trusted advisor, Michael Sylvester, said we should take the days off to let our bodies settle down and “re-set.”
Really!? No riding? It was like he was putting us in jail. Especially after I’ve ridden every day for 14 months and four days. But we’ve put our faith in him, so we let the bikes gather dust while we watched the scales to see how much weight we put on.
Shocks of shocks, days one and two were OK. Just a one on the angst-o-meter.
Day three, Wednesday, the meter ticked up to three.
Days four and five: worse. Score them a seven.
Day six was filled with going to Seattle and back, so the angst was under control
Today: Big Red and I were together again. I said, “Welcome back,” to the legs as bro and I did some steeps in the West Hills.
Couldn’t detect any slippage. Michael was right. And our weights didn’t change.
The rest of this week: easy cruising.
Cheers, and ride safe.
