Hello. Day 20. Casper to Lusk, WY. 106 miles. 2661 feet of climbing
We transitioned from scrub range land to more grasslands and wheat fields. Still, it was pretty desolate out there.
Three rest stops and we needed all of them.
It was a long day in the saddle—arrived at the Covered Wagon motel at 2:45. Temp: 90.
Wyoming is coal country, and the tour wouldn’t be complete without seeing a coal train. They are over a mile long, and for a stretch, the train was 50 yards away, and we were going faster.
The town of Douglas. Knoxville Greg on left, Austin Alan on right.
Soon after we arrived in Lusk, there was a parade—in celebration of Rawhide Days.
